New FreeInOut Board

Our new FreeInOut Board system is developing.
I would like to tell you guys something about it.

New Board system will be powered by PHP and MySQL.

A lot of Ajax features will be implemented in it.
Easy navigating;
Compatible structure with old version.

I hope we can release it in September 2008 or early.

All current users will still use the Free InOut Board, Free.

We keep our service free for basic InOut Board function. If you need premium features, we charge annual fee.

If you have any question, just leave it here. I will happy to answer it.

Site is OK now

During last 24 hours, you may experience some connection problem with our FreeInOutBoard site.

Because our ISP changed IP address without notice. We just find this problem yesterday morning. To fix it and let the site come back, we spend about 4 hours.

I hope this issue does not annoy you.

About Time Zone

Some users reported that their time sign-in or out are one hour behind.

I have to say this is because of the Government's fault. They set different day-saving time.

The server is located in British Columbia, Canada. It is Pacific Time. New day-saving time applied for BC and some province and stats in USA.

If you have this problem, please modify your time zone setting in Admin > Location

We changed Server

Due to so many downtime during last few weeks, we decided to move to a new server.

I hope it is more stable and server you better.

I hate downtime. I communicated with 1and1, the old Hosting company, many times. The result is not acceptable. I have to do this change.

The donation is welcome. $10 is enough.
We need more more money to keep it running smoothly.

Reports with Average In's and Out's, and Work Hours

You may find new type of report in our Attendance Reports.

When click the link you will go to the report page.

In this form, you can choose the user and the report date range. Then, click run report button.

The report is clear and easy to read.
Please be noticed that the total work hours are including all days, even he worked on weekend. The average in's and out's are calculated on weekday only.

Thanks to Aaron Blevins. This featured report is suggested by him.

To use this report and want the working hours correct, you need to enter the date and time very correctly.

Server failure yesterday

We can not sign in/out on our Free InOut Board yesterday. The server, which host our service, is down. We use 1and1 hosting.

We do not have enough budget to get the better hosting plan. Our service is free. If you want to support, click the button below to make a donation. All donations will be listed.

Our service is back at 10:30PM yesterday. Now all data is safe.

Why your account is disabled?

You may find some accounts are disabled today. Maybe your account is one of them.
This is our regular cleaning to our InOutBoard system.

According to our Terms and Conditions, section 11.

11. Account Inactivity
After a period of inactivity, we reserves the right to disable or terminate a user's account. We will disable your account if you fail to login to your account for a period of 45 days.

Any account inactive over 45 days, may be disabled. You will not be able to access your account. Before disable your account, you may receive one email or two at your administrator email address.

If you think it is some problem, or want to reinstate your account, contact us at support@freeinoutboard.com with subject re-apply.

Group email and Exporting features

I am glad to announce two new features today.

1) Group Email
This is a standard feature in our Pentacle In-out Board system, but just implement into FreeInOutBoard yesterday.

Now you can easily send a email to one group or one location by click the email button on the board.

2) Exporting Data
This is a brand new feature.
Only administrator of your organization or company can export data of your attendance records.
It is a csv file, which can be imported in Excel.

As we provide this Free InOut Board international. We also received a lot of feedback.

This is a good start to have a space to share our opinion and announce the new features.
